Thank you for the encouragement. I attended my first protest today and will be stuffing envelopes next week to help get Susan Crawford elected to the Wisconsin Supreme Court. And I sometimes email Ron Johnson to ask that he grow a pair, although he’s pretty much a lost cause. Keep up the great writing, Holly!
So glad to hear your procedure went much better. They are absolutely torture, the prep is a killer, although admittedly I do like the nighty nighty sleep I get during those few minutes of peace while under and waiting up drunkish without the hangover. I thanked the workers at the VA today for hanging in there, they're under cuts and budget f*ckery along with the rest of the government. Co-vid affected them severely. They're nervous. I go to a large hospital here and they're operating on the bare minimum staff wise. I digress, these folks have shown up and are doing there job with care as they have always done. Peace out, get a good nights sleep and take care.
I called my Republican representative today and told him not to be a Russian tool. I guess I should thank one of my Senators (Kelly) tomorrow for not being one.
Be grateful for that one good senator. While I am lucky to have a great Democrat, Andy Beshear, as my governor, I’m stuck with two pretty awful senators, Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul.
The cactus is also glad your ass-ending procedure was successful. Today I said a rosary and then called my congressman and senators to let them know that I hoped they could get past tonight’s gaslighting message and bring the fight to save our civil institutions that are being hacked to oblivion. I asked that we go back to lawful, orderly methods of running the country.
Glad that colonoscopy is over! Whew! I called my French Canadian cousin yesterday (who I have never called before) to tell her that Americans love Canadians and we’re happy they won the hockey championship and boo-ed our national anthem. It was a great conversation and I will be talking to her regularly.
That’s the beauty of our relationship with our neighbors up north. It has always been cordial, and in no way am I offended by their reciprocal tariffs. They’d be insane not to push back.
Happy to hear that the colonoscopy is successful this time around. And yes, we must focus one doing one thing at a time. Thank you for volunteering for Spanberger, have been a fan since her “Abigail Spanberger is my name” debate with Dave Brat, who is really a brat.
Thank You, this is very encouraging. I struggle with being discouraged, both about the world and dealing with chronic pain. But this is something I can aim for. We just got home from our Fat Ash Tuesday church dinner, and time with my community is important for me and all of us.

YES! Imagine if ALL of us just did one (good) thing! It could change the world in an instant.

Rest up, Holly. You deserve a good night.😴💤

It is strange to tell another country’s citizens that it’s okay to boo us and tariff us. Please do! Total upside down world.

Great idea. It helps immensely to feel you are doing something positive in the support of a just cause.
