Mea culpa
Hi all! Sorry I missed Friday Fun. I was at the For Good conference, which was amazing. I made all kinds of new friends and got to see some in person for the first time.
No satire for you today, but then again, our entire lives have become satire. This statue was dedicated at Trump’s golf course in Doral yesterday by a group of pastors.
In his remarks, pastor Mark Burns said, “Let me be clear: this is not a golden calf.” 1
I have nothing further to add. You cannot make this stuff up.
A couple things to share this week—
I had a great conversation and missions with Fr. Joash P. Thomas. His book The Justice of Jesus has had such an impact. This guy is everywhere! I’m so grateful to him for sharing his platform with me.
I’m back with Pastor Teer Hardy talking prayer.
I’m going to take next week off in hopes I can make good headway on a book proposal! Yes, I am planning to write another book. Stay tuned, maybe I’ll have some news in a few months.
Grace and peace, friends. Go well. Godspeed.
For the biblically challenged, this is a reference to the Israelites making a golden calf statue to worship while they impatiently waited for Moses to return from his rendezvous with God to received the Ten Commandments.

If you have to say it is not a golden calf, it IS a golden calf. My take. https://terrymckenna.substack.com/p/if-you-have-to-say-it-is-not-a-golden?r=1t8ls&utm_campaign=post-expanded-share&utm_medium=web
I will only be satisfied if they get on their knees and bow down. Carl Hiaasen couldn't come up with this stuff. Reality has jumped the shark.
