I am heading to Kenya in a couple days—no longer via Doha, I’m sure Trump will cover the extra cost of changing my ticket—for an entire busy month of tour guiding and family vacation.

No promises on how much I write, but my intention is to write a near-daily/as the internet allows travelogue for ONLY PAID SUBSCRIBERS. That’s right, those of you foolish enough to pay for a free thing will finally get something more than my deep gratitude.

I have no idea what the quality of these posts will be, but what I can tell you is that they will include a lot of animal photos and zero discussion of the Middle East (unless Kenya gets attacked, of which I think the chances are near zero, but honestly, anything is possible in this batsh*t crazy world).
